# Third-party notices

Visitor Map software is MIT licensed; see [LICENSE](LICENSE). The bundled
geographic data and geometry derived from it have separate terms:

- `data/iso-a2.json` vendors `@rembish/iso-topojson` 1.4.0 by Alex Rembish.

- `src/map/geometry.generated.ts`, `src/map/country-codes.generated.ts`, and
  `visitor-map.js` contain data processed from that dataset. The build
  simplifies and compiles its geometry into SVG paths; these data and their
  derivatives retain the above attribution and license.
- The source dataset derives from [Natural Earth 10m cultural vectors](https://www.naturalearthdata.com/downloads/10m-cultural-vectors/10m-admin-0-countries/).
  Natural Earth base data is [public domain](https://www.naturalearthdata.com/about/terms-of-use/).

- `dist/flags/*.svg` and release `flags/*.svg` copy the 4:3 assets from
  [flag-icons](https://github.com/lipis/flag-icons) 7.5.0 by Panayiotis
  Lipiridis and contributors, licensed under MIT. The full license is
  bundled as `dist/flags/LICENSE` and release `flags/LICENSE`. These flags
  are loaded only by `visitor-passport.js` from the same distribution.

Attribution when distributing the map: **Map data by Alex Rembish, derived
from Natural Earth; CC BY 4.0.** Keep this notice with redistributed browser
artifacts. The software's MIT license does not replace the data license.
